4 STEPS TO A COMFORTING HOME
How to Make Your Home Your Place of Peace
So today is the day that I had set aside to write my blog post.
How do you write a design blog post when so much CRAZINESS is going on in our country right now?
Then I started thinking about my last blog where I shared why having a comforting home is SO important.
When it seems like the whole world has gone nuts, home should be the place where you can retreat to, the one comforting place where you should feel safe and relaxed, a place of peace.
So instead of writing about how the heck to hang your art, or decorate your coffee table, let’s focus today on comfort.
What makes YOU feel comfortable, relaxed and peaceful?
The answer is very different for everyone.
That’s why Interior Design in Monson MA for the way YOU live is so important.
The 1ST STEP to making your home comfortable for you and your family is to figure out what you use the space for.
Do you have large parties in the space?
If you do, you’re going to want space to move around, furniture pieces to serve food from and places to put drinks down on.
Do you like to have movie night with your family in the room?
It doesn’t matter if some design magazine says that smaller sofas are “in”; if you have a family of 5 that watches TV in that room, then a smaller sofa is not going to work for you.
Do you love to read?
Creating a cozy space to curl up with a good book will be essential to your peace.
The 2ND STEP to make your home comforting for you and your family is to choose a color scheme that you love.
How to do that is the next blog post. ☺
Because, really, you don’t want to read 1 loooong blog post, right?
The 3RD STEP to making your home comfortable is to choose furniture that is comfortable for you and your family.
How to do that is the following blog post. ☺
The 4TH STEP to making your home your comforting place is to personalize it.
How to do that is the blog post after that. ☺
The way to feel comfortable in your home is to make it “YOU” (and your family).
Make it work for YOU.
Add things YOU love.
Yeah, your friends and family do come over and spout out their opinions of the space, but YOU are the one that is there the majority of the time.
Go with what YOU love.

Good point on the sofa size. What’s in isn’t always what best for you and your family
Thanks Christina. You have to #DecorateWithWhatMakesYouHappy too. 🙂
