Oh NO! I don’t have anything I love in any of my rooms. I think I am in trouble. YIKES!
It’s amazing how some new throw pillows can spruce up a space!
So maybe I should start with just a few pillows. Would I then start to look for furniture? I do not like my living room furniture because it overpowers the room.
I do like my dining room table but I could not bring that with me as it is onyx and weighs about 700 pounds. I think I am a decorating “HOT MESS,.” .

It’s a free step by step guide to how to put a room together. But if you have a plan, whether it’s from a designer or even if it’s in your head, then you have a direction. A design plan is like a road map.
That said, a throw pillow can definitely be an inspiration for the plan. You can choose your colors from it.
Will try during the summer. Right now I am buried in correcting final work for my classes. I do suspect that I will get frustrated and give up and go out clothes shopping instead. I will keep you updated! This should be funny!

Patricia Walker Biagini I think I should just move out of this place! Decorating is overwhelming for me but shopping for clothes and shoes is so easy and pleasant.
The 60/30/10 method is a good trick for how much color to use in a space. Basically you have a neutral base color that’s 60% of your room, walls, sofa, etc. Then you layer in 1/2 as much of a 2nd color, something similar to the 1st color but different. This would be side chairs, painted furniture etc. Then 10% would be a third accent color, like throw pillows etc.
You can use a colorful throw pillow to choose those colors from.
